How can dad help with the diaper care routine?

There are many activities that dad can't really own when it comes to the development of their newborns. However, there is 1 thing that is being overlooked: the diaper change.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bind with baby, and we tell you why and how :)

Diaper changes are an important part of a baby's routine, but they can also be time-consuming and exhausting for parents. As a dad, you can play an important role in helping with the diaper change routine. Here are a few ways you can lend a hand:

  1. Offer to take over a diaper change. This will give your partner a break and allow them to rest or take care of other tasks.

  2. Be present and engaged during diaper changes. This means being attentive to your baby's needs and responding to their cues.

  3. Help with diaper changing supplies. This can include fetching wipes, diapers, and creams, as well as making sure they are within easy reach.

  4. Help with baby clean-up. This can include washing your baby's face, hands, and feet, as well as drying them off and getting them dressed.

  5. Provide emotional support and encouragement. Diaper changes can be stressful, especially for first-time parents. Offer words of support and reassurance to help make the experience more enjoyable for everyone.

By taking on some of the responsibilities of diaper changing, you can make the experience easier and more enjoyable for both your baby and your partner. This will also help you bond with your baby and be an active part of their care and development.
